Our assignment focused on developing comprehensive action plans and a master plan for the Mandera
Cluster, under the auspices of the Strategies for Rural Agency for Community Development and Assistance
(RACIDA). This project, funded by USAID’s Cross-Border Community Resilience Activity, aims to enhance
resilience across the Mandera Cluster, which spans Kenya, Somalia, and Ethiopia. Through a meticulous cocreation process involving stakeholders from government, civil society, private sector, and regional
organizations, we identified and prioritized key resilience-building initiatives. These initiatives address critical
issues such as economic development, peacebuilding, natural resource management, and disaster
preparedness. The deliverables included detailed action plans and a strategic master plan designed to guide
resource allocation, align with local and regional development frameworks, and foster sustainable growth and
stability in the region. This project underscores our commitment to collaborative and inclusive development
practices that empower local communities and enhance their resilience against various challenges.
